Beijing No. 4 Middle School was established in 1907 and was originally named "Shuntian Middle School". In 1949, it was renamed "Beijing No. 4 Middle School". In September 2002, it was recognized by Beijing Municipal Education Commission as the first batch of demonstration high schools in Beijing. The International Department was added. In 2005, it merged with Beihai Middle School and resumed junior high school enrollment. In 2008, some teachers of National Unity Middle School were merged into our school, and in 2015 they merged with 63 Middle School.
